The INFLATABLE ISLAND in Olongapo City is now officially opened last April 1, 2017, and the Pampanga Bloggers Society was able to experience the adventure park has to offer on its second day of official operations. The resort is dubbed as the largest floating playground in Asia, occupying at least 8 basketball courts in terms of Area, and there are 13 obstacles for every visitors to tackle and enjoy. The Inflatable Island is one of a kind resort that you just do not enjoy the beach alone, but enjoy the adventure it serves. We are fortunate that is it located in the province of Zambales and just two hours away or less from our town, via SCTEX.
With excitement, the team drove from Le Charme Hotel to the Samba Beach, where the floating playground is located, and had the orientation before the actual play. Each and every visitor, young and old should attend the orientation for their own safety as rules and regulations will be implemented especially in the play area. The team is led by the HR staff of the resort.
THE BALI LOUNGE
This is one of the social media post worthy spots in the resort. Colorful umbrellas and beanbags are placed in a fenced area where you can rest or lounge while waiting for your friends. Perfect for small groups. It is located right beside the Life Vest Area and is on a First Come First Serve Basis.
There are bigger cottages and cabanas at the resort that you can rent out. Currently, the resort does not have facilities for overnight stay and you can opt to lodge in the nearest hotels in Subic. You can check the prices of the cabanas and cottages on their website.
TIPS AND NOTES:
- Buy your tickets online at http://www.theinflatableisland.com and save 10% from the walk in ticket prices.
- Be there at least 30 minutes or earlier from your schedule as you need to attend the orientation.
- Do not forget to wear sunscreen and reapply after long exposure from sun and seawater.
- Follow the dress code (No sharps, zippers, sequins, beads or anything that would harm the inflatables) . Recommended by the resort are rash guards and swim leggings.
- Do not forget to rehydrate after long periods of playing.
- There are lockers available at the resort for your valuables. Php 50.00 and Php 100.00 per locker, do not forget to bring your valid ID.
- You can bring your action camera and cell phones in waterproof casings to document your activity.
- Bringing of foods and drinks is not allowed. You can opt to eat outside or eat at your parked vehicle or choose to eat at the available Food Truck and Food Kiosks inside the resort.
- Do not be afraid if you do not know how to swim. Life vests are mandatory for all visitors at the play area and stand by lifeguards are there to pull you up should you struggle to return to the floating platforms.
- Fall in line should there be a queue at the play area.
- Observe proper attire.
- Start as early as possible and avoid as much as possible harsh sun exposures from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Always be vigilant of your safety and of others.

THE EXPERIENCE
After our orientation with the jolly staff, we signed our waivers and headed to the Life Vest Station. The life vests should be worn snugly and leg clips around your legs. We ran to the beach area and swam to the platform. This water is quite deep at this part, approximately 6 feet deep, anyways, you have your life vest to keep you afloat. Should you struggle to launch yourself onto the platform, there are standby lifeguards that would assist you up. I tried to launch myself and made it, but with difficulty. I observed that the waves are quite tame the time we visited. Learn to find your balance and walk slowly as the platform is slippery.
After taking photos at the starting point, we started our Inflatable Island adventure with the TARZAN SWING. I had a mild fear of heights, but did not hesitate this time to launch myself here and perform a basic stunt by spreading my legs and arms as I released the handle midair. My first time! I swam back to the platform and headed to the SUNBATHE LOUNGE and just enjoyed the view momentarily. I tried another swing and made it to the other side without falling onto the water.
The JUNGLE BARS tested my upper body strength and gave up more than half way. The standby lifeguard pulled me up back on the platform. I passed the HAPPY SWING since there is a group enjoying their bonding there and have to go straight to the ROCK CLIMBING part and jump at the adjacent side. I think it was 15-20 feet high? Not sure. But that was my record highest jump above water. I swam back to the platform and balanced myself on the obstacle course and got back to the MONKEY VINES and luckily did not fall again. I saw my other blogger friends at the TRAMPOLINE and joined them there as we watch the other bloggers at the HUMAN LAUNCHER. In less than two hours, we enjoyed 7 out of 13 main obstacle course. THAT WAS FUN AND MEMORABLE! I think I would be back to try the rest of the obstacle course.

Drive Directions
From Manila, take the fastest route from NLEX and SCTEX, and exit at the Olongapo Gate. The entrance is at approximately 10-15 minutes from Olongapo Gate Exit.
Commute Directions
Take any Zambales (Sta. Cruz and Iba) bound bus and ask conductor to alight you directly front of the resort.
From Pampanga, take Van from Dau Terminal to Olongapo. From Olongapo, take a jeep (blue jeep), van or bus and alight in front of Inflatables Island.
