Bulacan’s Festival of Festival, the Singkaban Festival, is launched this September 9, 2019, right at the facade of the province’s neo-gothic style Provincial Capitol. Despite the downpour, the opening program ended successfully and did not deter the performances.
I was having goosebumps while listening to the powerful vocals of Ms. Trixie, in blue gown. The dance performances during the opening program exude an energetic and powerful message with its smooth choreography and facial expressions, despite the rain.
According to the governor, Hon. Daniel Fernando, their version of celebration is not the usual mardi gras type we see with other festivals in the Philippines, but the activities are focused to promote the heritage, language, arts and culture of their beloved already world-class province. The Singkaban Festival is packed with week-long activities that would truly showcase its talents, here is a summary of the activities:
The festivities kicked off the with the annual float parade featuring indigenous materials like bamboo. All of the municipalities of Bulacan flaunted their creative masterpieces in front of Bulacan’s leaders and judges. Here are the photographs of the amazing floats:

Magandang Araw!
Ako po si Jhomer Valiente, isang college student. Nais ko pong humingi ng pahintulot mula sa inyo na humiram ng mga pictures tungkol sa SINGKABAN FESTIVAL ng Malolos City, Bulacan. Ito po ay gagamitin sa aming proyekto sa Readings in the Philippine History subject. Isa po ang singkaban festival sa mga ibabahagi naming impormasyon sa aming proyektong blog site na ipapasa sa 4th week ng May. Dahil po nasa gitna tayo ng pandemya, hindi po kami pinahihintulutang lumabas upang makahanap ng ibang source patungkol sa aming proyekto. Kaya malaking tulong po sa amin ang mga picture niyo sa aming proyekto. Ito po ay gagamitin lamang para sa academic purposes at bibigyan po namin kayo (source) ng sapat na courtesy/credit sa gagawing proyekto.
Layunin ng aming proyekto:
Ang aming primaryang layunin ay maibahagi sa iba partikular na sa mga turista ang natatangi at natatagong ganda na mayroon ang Lungsod ng Malolos. Walang ibang bayan sa Pilipinas ang maiuugnay sa mga dakilang makabayan at bayani sa kasaysayan ng bansa na higit sa Malolos, ang kabisera ng lalawigan ng Bulacan kung kaya’t aming naging layunin na magbigay alam sa angking ganda ng lugar na pinagmulan ng mga makata, bayani at lupain na makasaysayan. Kaakibat nito ang pagsariwa ng kasaysayan sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay impormasyon sa iba’t ibang makasaysayang lugar at museo na matatagpuan sa lungsod. Layunin din naming maipakilala ang Malolos bilang atraksyong pang-turismo, maibahagi sa mga dayuhan ang mga pagkaing natatangi na namana pa sa mga Español, ang kulturang umiiral dito maging ang mga likhaing sining at literatura na sa lungsod lamang matatagpuan. Layunin din ng blog site na magbigay daan upang makilala pa ng lubos ang lungsod ng Malolos hindi lamang bilang isang makasaysayang lugar kundi isang bayan na mayaman sa kultura, masasarap na pagkain at magagandang lugar tungo sa pagiging sentro nito ng turismo.
