Student leaders from different parts of the Philippines came together on June 20 as Globe and Disney hosted simultaneous screenings of Toy Story 5 in Clark, Bonifacio Global City, Dasmariñas, and Cebu City.
The special event brought together student changemakers, campus organization leaders, and Disney fans for a shared experience centered on connection, collaboration, and community.
Students who were invited through their schools and organizations filled cinemas across the four locations. More than just watching a movie, the event gave them a chance to meet fellow students, exchange ideas, and build connections with peers from other campuses.
The nationwide screening highlighted the importance of community and support networks as students face academic, social, and financial challenges.
The event is part of Globe and Disney’s long-running partnership, which uses storytelling to inspire young people through themes of courage, resilience, and personal growth. Through stories of characters who overcome obstacles with determination and purpose, students are encouraged to pursue their goals and define success in their own way.
Participants also joined raffle activities featuring exclusive merchandise. They learned how to maximize Globe Rewards through student-focused offers available on the GlobeOne app. These perks include beep™ card load, food and beverage rewards, coffee credits, and free Timezone load, helping students get more value from their everyday activities.
During the event, Globe also introduced the Globe Student Program, an initiative that allows student organizations to propose projects that address real needs within their schools and communities. Through the program, students can turn their ideas into action and access opportunities that help expand the reach of their projects.
The Globe Student Program reflects Globe’s commitment to supporting student leaders by providing opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and create positive change. By connecting students with resources, opportunities, and like-minded peers, Globe continues to help young people grow and make an impact in their communities.
“The most powerful ideas often start within communities. Through the Globe Student Program, we want to give student leaders opportunities to collaborate, pursue initiatives they care about, and create impact that extends beyond their campuses,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Globe Consumer Chief Marketing Officer.
By combining storytelling, technology, and community-building activities, Globe continues to create spaces where students can connect, explore new opportunities, and turn ideas into meaningful action.
