Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and BCDA President Joshua M. Bingcang want to bring more events to Tarlac. This move helps the local economy and creates jobs for people in nearby towns.

“The areas under BCDA’s stewardship present opportunities for tourism growth. New Clark City, in particular, has demonstrated capacity to host major sporting events, and successfully so. With its modern sports facilities and integrated development, it is well positioned to strengthen the Philippines’ role in sports tourism.” Secretary Frasco said.

She added that they want to use these spots to bring in more investments.

New Clark City already has top facilities. National athletes train here through a deal with the Philippine Sports Commission. Plans are also in motion for a 10-hectare sports center and a massive tennis complex.

Engr. Bingcang said this partnership helps Filipino athletes feel at home.

“By promoting sports tourism together, we elevate New Clark City’s standing as a premier destination for training and competition while creating opportunities for local businesses, workers, and communities,” he said.

The two agencies will work on tour packages. These will mix sports with local culture and heritage. You can watch a game and explore Tarlac in one trip.

Young athletes also train at the National Academy of Sports located right in the city. This city is building the future of Philippine sports.
