Volkslift International Philippines and the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Manila Maharlika Chapter marked World Architecture Day 2025 with a seminar focused on modern building design and safety.

The event, called “Elevating Design: Mastering Vertical Transportation in Philippine Architecture,” was held on October 9 at Spencer’s Fusion Restaurant, Best Western Plus Metro Clark. It gathered architects, engineers, and designers to talk about how elevators and other vertical transport systems can make buildings more efficient and sustainable.
Participants earned 4.5 CPD points while learning practical insights from guest speaker Engr. Nestor Lacson Marquilencia, an expert in elevator systems and safety standards. He explained how thoughtful elevator design helps improve comfort, accessibility, and energy use in buildings.
The seminar was organized under the guidance of UAP Past National President Arch. Mediliano “Boy” Roldan V., with Arch. Ma. Teresa Amabelle Ticsay as chairperson and Arch. Mon Jerkis Servino, president of UAP Manila Maharlika Chapter, leading the organizing team.

Volkslift International Philippines said the event reflects its ongoing support for professionals working to design safer and more sustainable structures. The company, a subsidiary of Savers Group Holdings, aims to help the construction industry integrate smarter technologies into Filipino architecture.
Volkslift offices are located in Angeles City (Savers Mall, Balibago), Quezon City (192 Roosevelt Ave. corner Pitimini St.), and Cebu (417 NHDC Building, A.C. Cortes Ave., Mandaue City).
