With members of the Pampanga Press Club, we had an opportunity to stay overnight at this breathtaking, luxurious oasis in Quezon City. Ferried from Clark and back, let me share with you the unforgettable moments we had at Solaire North. This staycation is memorable since I was able to bring along my father, for the first time ever, to a luxury hotel.

Check-In and Deluxe Room Experience

Stepping into the Deluxe Room at Solaire North is like entering a realm of refined luxury. This 42-square-meter retreat blends contemporary design with an intimate feel, offering the perfect space we all need to unwind. The plush bed options, ranging from Twin to King-sized configurations, guarantee restful sleep. The spacious bathroom is a standout feature, with separate rain shower stalls and a bathtub, complemented by exclusive Lorenzo Villoresi amenities that add an opulent touch to your routine.

Additional conveniences such as an in-room coffee and tea-making facility, a well-stocked minibar, and high-speed internet access ensure both comfort and practicality. The large LED TV with IPTV channels caters to your entertainment needs, while the in-room safe and ironing facilities enhance convenience. Two reasons you’d enjoy this room: the plush ambiance ideal for a restful escape and the well-thought-out amenities that cater to both luxury and functionality.

Dining Adventures: Try the Solaire North Restaurants

Dinner at Fresh International Buffet

Our dining journey began at the renowned Fresh International Buffet. Each offering was thoughtfully prepared, but the dishes stood out for their balanced flavors and premium ingredients. I was astounded on the scale of the dining hall, plus the massive array of food choices in a single outlet. I could not falter not to get my top favorites. Like the fresh salmon sashimi, the Prime Rib, fresh salad greens and the vegetable skewers.

Late Night at Skybar

Late-night drinks at Skybar were accompanied by a soulful jazz band. I had the opportunity to order cocktails. I tried the The Skies in Italy cocktail. It featured a harmonious blend of Malfy Con Limone Gin, Amaro Rammazzotti, Mancino Chinato, and peach liqueur – a refreshing treat with a citrusy and slightly bitter finish. The subdued lighting at the Skybar was a lovely ambiance. The overall interior design is homey and relaxing. If not for the sudden downpour, we could have enjoyed the terrace outside, enjoying the impressive views of the metro.

Breakfast at Lucky Noodle

After a relaxing sleep, another adventure is prepared for us. Our breakfast at Lucky Noodle was a highlight, featuring standout dishes like the steamed pork and prawn siew mai with tobiko, which delivered a delicate balance of savory and briny flavors. The Pad Thai Goong offered a tangy sweetness with perfectly cooked prawns. The Laksa Noodle was a rich, spicy delight that left a lasting impression. The first official meal of the day seemingly left me feeling for days.

Lunch at Red Lantern

Another Asian culinary adventure is our lunch at Red Lantern. It was an exquisite sit-down buffet experience. We had steamed siew mai and ha gao were tender and flavorful, showcasing masterful dim sum artistry. Dessert was a refreshing chilled mango sago with pomelo, followed by the heavenly baked egg tart, completing the meal on a sweet note. To cap our dining experience, a live acrobatic-style tea ceremony show by a mainland Chinese set the energy of the midday.

Solaire North Facilities and Amenities Tour

Our tour of Solaire North’s facilities revealed a blend of the ambiance of leisure and luxury at every corner. We visited first Yakumi, the signature Japanese restaurant, and were impressed with its chic interiors, perfect for sushi lovers. At the Dragon Bar, an inviting atmosphere made it the ideal spot for craft cocktails and socializing. Manyaman Restaurant showcased Kapampangan cuisine in a modern setting, delivering a unique take on Filipino heritage flavors.

The Pool Cafe provided a serene poolside dining experience with refreshing options and picturesque views. Families traveling with children would appreciate the Kids Club, a vibrant space filled with engaging activities for young guests. The VIP Dining area, designed for exclusivity and bespoke private dining experiences. Fitness enthusiasts would be thrilled with the state-of-the-art Health Club and Gym, both equipped with top-notch equipment and wellness programs.
