The Shoreline Subic welcomed us with its striking art deco-inspired facade, a nod to a bygone era of glamour. The hotel’s high ceiling lobby was a refreshing sight, adorned with vibrant colors and sleek lines. As I walked into the lobby, the light streaming from the massive windows added a sense of spaciousness, making the entire space feel open and inviting. The carefully curated artwork and modern fixtures created a chic yet relaxed atmosphere, an ideal setting for any traveler looking to unwind after a long day.

A Feast at The Shoreline Restaurant

Dinner at The Shoreline Restaurant was a true feast. The Nilagang Baka, a classic Filipino soup, was hearty and comforting—perfectly simmered beef with tender vegetables swimming in a clear, flavorful broth. The Crispy Shrimps offered a delightful crunch with every bite, a perfect pairing for their tangy dipping sauce. Then there was the Crispy Pata, an indulgent pork dish that boasted crispy skin and succulent meat, best enjoyed with their signature soy-vinegar dip. Finally, the Pancit Bihon added a comforting, savory touch to the meal, its noodles delicately stir-fried with vegetables and tender meat. To complement this rich array of dishes, they served endless refills of lemon-cucumber juice and a Pinoy-style sago beverage, the latter becoming my top favorite for its refreshing sweetness and familiar flavors that mostly defined our youth.

A Relaxing Café Stop at Anchor Café Inc.

Our night ended with a visit to Anchor Café Inc., the indoor cafe at The Shoreline. The cafe’s interior exuded calmness, with cool pastel hues that paired perfectly with natural wood accents, creating a laid-back vibe. Known for their cookies, pastries, and baked goods, the cafe also offered indulgent scoops of ice cream. I opted for a custom tea blend made of jasmine, lotus leaf, and lemon. The tea had a delicate floral fragrance, with the lotus leaf adding an earthy note, while the lemon brought in just the right amount of zest, making it a soothing end to the evening.

Plan Your Escape to The Shoreline Subic

If you’re looking for a place to relax and dine in style, The Shoreline Subic should be high on your list. My heartfelt thanks to Ms. Jia Ladao and Sir Dante Salvaña of the Subic Bay Management Authority, as well as the gracious owners of The Shoreline, for providing an unforgettable experience. Their hospitality made the visit even more special, and I cannot wait to return.
