During the Clark Media Roundtable of Cebu Pacific Air, Director of Corporate Communications Ms. Carmina Reyes Romero shared the exciting news of the airline’s systemwide network recovery at 113% as compared to pre-pandemic numbers. Currently, Cebu Pacific has 93 domestic and international routes that are capable of making an estimated 3,000 weekly flights or 400 average daily flights, thus, having the widest domestic network.
Additionally, the announcement of the arrival of the sixth aircraft for the year 2024 alone was also shared. Last June 5, 2024, a new ATR 72-600, one of the latest twin-engine turboprop aircraft is part of Cebu Pacific’s modern fleet. The airline is also expecting 18 aircraft deliveries this 2024 to heed the increase in travel demand.
UPDATE ON CLARK HUB
According to Ms. Romero, due to the Pratt and Whitney engine issues, some Clark hub flights were discontinued such as the Bacolod, Davao, Iloilo and Puerto Princesa. Despite the technical issues, Cebu Pacific announced the increase in flight frequency for Caticlan (Boracay), Cebu, and Hong Kong-bound flights effective month of July. The Weekly Frequencies are as follows: Caticlan (Boracay) bound route increased from 17 to 18 flights, Cebu bound from 11 to 14 flights and Hong Kong-bound from 15 to 17 flights. Bangkok-bound maintained at 7 flights, Narita-bound at 4 flights and Singapore-bound at 7 weekly flights.
NEW FLIGHTS
Cebu Pacific will fly from Manila to Kaohsiung, Taiwan thrice a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Kaohsiung is the largest city in the southern regions of Taiwan and is the second destination by Cebu Pacific. Another new flight route is via Manila-Don Mueang-Bangkok that will also operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning October 2, 2024. Cebu Hub will increase its routes with the upcoming Cebu-Masbate flights beginning October 25, 2024 that will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
