Dining Outlets Await You Inside the Clark International Airport

Flying via Clark proves even more hassle-free and stress-free with more dining outlets. No need to bring your lunch box or doggy bags while waiting for your flight as dining options are available on every deck and zone of the new and state-of-the-art passenger terminal building. There are more than 20 outlets already operating on every deck of the passenger terminal building. From the Departure Deck (International and Domestic), Arrival Halls up to the Public Bus Terminal.

The Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the managing arm of the Clark International Airport, has allowed us to try at least 3 outlets in a day. It is such a rare opportunity for content creators to enter and explore a highly-secured building. Here are the food outlets we tried:

BLUESMITH COMFORT FOOD

Located at the Far Left Pre Departure Hall, Bluesmith Comfort Food offers passengers and well-wishers some Asian and Western dishes while you wait or before you check in. It’s indeed comfort food. Serving the familiar dishes and refreshing beverages if have traveled around Asia and Europe.

In this experience, we tried the following dishes: Thai Beef Red Curry Rice Bowl, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Goreng with Sate Ayam, Wagyu Burger Steak, and Crusted Bacon Carbonara. My personal choice is the Nasi Goreng which always reminds me of my Zamboanga sojourn. The flavor profile is tweaked to please the general Pinoy palate and is less spicy. The Sambal taste as expected with rich tomatoey goodness coupled with the umami flavors of the aromatics. The rice is al dente and subtly flavored, not overpowering.

For beverages, I tried Spanish Latte with Oat Milk as a dairy alternative. I love the balance of the coffee and creamy flavors fused into one iced beverage delight.

For desserts, try their Best Ever Revel Bars. To date, this is the best Revel Bar I tried. Luscious flavors, moist core and rich chocolate fillings in every bite for this.

Bluesmith in Clark Airport operates from 7:00 AM to 6:00 AM the following day with one hour required off hours for maintenance of equipment. The dining area can comfortably seat 90 diners at any given time. It also features an open setup with a low wall profile and you can conveniently monitor activities and announcements at the Check-In Zone.

Try their other best-sellers such as White Mocha (Iced & Hot), Chocolate Dream for Non-Caffeinated Beverage, and Double Chocolate. They have another branch at NAIA and one in Luisita, Tarlac with Gentle Sparrow by Bluesmith as the brand.

KAPAMPANGAN DELIGHTS AT SUSIE’S CUISINE

Bring home the best Kapampangan Delicacies from the newest Susie’s Cuisine branch located at the Domestic Departures.

Susie’s Cuisine is one of the best and most trusted Kapampangan brands famous for the quality local delicacies and viands and is now conveniently located at the departure area where passengers can conveniently bring a piece of Pampanga to their respective destinations.

What can you take with your flight? You have so many options to check like the delectable Uraro, the richly flavored Pancit Luglug, the divine Leche Flan, the bold Bico Kalamay, the crispy Okoy, the nostalgic Bibingka, their iconic Mochi with its flavorful sauce, the creamy Ube Halaya, the delightful Maja Blanca and their version of Sapin Sapin. I tried again their Pancit Palabok, and the taste quality has not degraded. The profile is a bit on the deep savory side and you might add a refreshing squeeze of calamansi to balance it out. The Noodles are al dente to bite and not soggy. The meat toppings are a bit salty which complements the rich sauce.

They also have chilled beverages and you can enjoy refreshing and thirst-quenching drinks such as sodas, juices, and bottled water.

LOUNGE AND WINE HOUR AT BARCINO

Relax your way to your international flights and lounge at the Barcino Wine and Resto Bar branch inside the International Departures. We are lucky that a Spanish Brand graces the new passenger terminal building and quality wines and their signature tapas are available for international flying passengers. Coupled with both the aesthetics of the airport building shell and the resto bar’s interior finishes add to the premium and deluxe immediate environment.

Get some refreshing Sangria coupled with Luscious Churros as you wait for your boarding announcement. There are also an array of wine and liquors to choose from to get that casually refined yet sophisticated dining experience. The Barcino Wine is open almost 24 hours and operations vary depending on the international flight departures. I like how the Sangria are served in large stemmed glasses. I cannot forget its fruity aftertastes that quench my thirst for tangy flavors after heavy snacking from savory finds of Susie’s Cuisine. The Churros featured a good crusting that produces deeper flavors and a moist yet flavorful core augments the expected profile and came as a good partner with the Sangria. I downed two glassfuls of it before leaving – wanting more of it actually. Felt the warm alcohol embrace through my veins moments after and felt the expected relaxation.

The Barcino Dining area features relaxing plush seats and open setup views direct to the runway and Mt. Arayat. Also, you can marvel at the iconic ceiling at your peaceful and quiet nook at Barcino. They can accommodate up to 50 passengers comfortably.
