The Culinary Capital of the Philippines has another something new to offer on this festive season. The Alviera, a sprawling multiuse estate development in Porac, Pampanga will hold NORTHERN FLOATS FESTIVAL every weekend from November 25 to December 17, 2023. Officially launched this November 22, 2023 with the corporate heads of Alviera, the Porac Town Chief Executive Hon. Mayor Jing Capil, Philippine Kite Association President Mr. Orly Ongkingco and Ms. Chriselle Yambao, Department of Region III Tourism Supervising Officer on behald of the DOT-3 Regional Director, Dr. Richard Daenos, officially launched the lighting of the Larger-than-life Alviera Characters Inflatables to kickstart the Weekly Festival.
This festive-inspired activities organized by the Alviera Team stemmed from concept to create new traditions designed for family and guests of all ages in Central Luzon. Alviera Porac envisions to be one of the best mixed use real estate featuring commercial centers, quality educational institutions and industrial zones – seemingly a city within a budding cityhood. It is the second largest estate of Ayala Land as of writing. The formal ceremonies began with a message from Melanie Eugenio-Trivino, Estate Project Development Division Manager of Ayala Land Inc. to offer more fun and unique outdoor experience for the family to celebrate new holiday traditions starting this year’s long festive season and the vision to carry on the activities as a staple one in Central Luzon. Porac Mayor “Jing” Capil expressed his esteemed appreciation to the Alviera for its valuable addition to the growing Tourism Landscape of his beloved town. Mayor Capil enthusiastically shared to the audience their exciting tourism activities such as the Binulo Festival and plans to hold the “Balas” Festival and proudly announced his administration’s mission for Porac’s Cityhood. Ms. Chriselle Yambao, shared the message of the Department of Tourism – Central Luzon being honored to be part of the Northern Floats Festival Launching Affair and highlighted Sandbox, as one of the prime tourism destination in Pampanga. Mr. Orly Orkingco, expressed his appreciation to include Kite Flying Activities with these new festive traditions. Mr. Ongkingco has led a vibrant storytelling of Philippine Kite Association journey to represent the country in various international gatherings. He also instilled nostalgia to the listening audience when he shared the childhood experiences of traditional crude kite making, which I actually did too during my childhood years. He mentioned that the association will be one to bringback the Kite Making Tradition to the younger generation.
