The PIHABF is one of the crowd-drawing events in the province of Pampanga held 9-12 February 2017. Witnessing it year after year from year one, I can say seeing these big and uniquely shaped hot air balloons are really a spectacle. It is not every day you see these floating above you when I commute to my work inside Clark. This year is special for me since I was able to have access inside the flight the area.
Aside from watching the balloons fly at sunrise and sunset, there are array of booths and concessionaires offering activities, freebies and lots of merchandise.
My deepest gratitude to Ms. Armela Patalud of www. AroundtheMetro.ph for including me in processing for the media IDs, and thank you Sir Robin Pinzon of www.palibut.com and Sir Will Garcia of www.willexplorephilippines.com for letting me join in covering this spectacular event.

Tips:
- Experience the event prior the weekend is best if you wish to enjoy the hot air balloon with a smaller crowd
- Come as early as 4:00 AM to get ahead with the queue and have a good spot
- You can bring your own foods and drinks inside
- You can camp out should you wish
- If visiting during weekends, be at the area as early as possible as vehicle and human traffic build up early.
- Wear sun protection
- Keep yourself hydrated
I have always wanted to go this event but I’m always not home when it is held. Hopefully next year. Kudos to you for being part of the “organizing team”
We have a second Hot Air Balloon held April sir in Lubao, Pampanga. I was blessed to have a co-blogger who submitted our names for a media pass for the event. Thank you Sir!
Wow! seriously?! Thanks so much. You made my day. I will check it out. 🙂
Yes, The Lubao hosts more balloon flights compared to Clark, I have heard more than 30 balloons fly each day, and the weekends has the most number of balloons, cannot wait to cover this event, since it would be my first. Would be hosting as well travelers from other provinces for them to witness the Lubao event.
